First PolyBilt crew cab

Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service has purchased four new fire appliances with both bodies and crew cabs made from co-polymer, PolyBilt.  Built by John Dennis Coachbuilders on Volvo chassis, these are the first vehicles in the UK with PolyBilt crewcabs.

Pictured at the Radciffe Camera in Oxford is the official handover of keys to the vehicles to Cllr Mrs Judith Heathcote, Lead Member for Procurement, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Authority by JDC's Alan McClafferty.  Also shown is the workshop team with Gersh Hughes, the Fleet Manager of Oxfordshire FRS.

The PolyBilt cab and bodies are 100% recyclable and are far more robust in the event of damage than conventional bodies.
