JDC and Tame Plastics merge

John Dennis Coachbuilders Ltd (“JDC”) and Tame Plastics Limited (“Tame”) today announced that the two businesses had merged.

Alan McClafferty, Managing Director of JDC, stated “Since Tame was established we have worked closely with Neil Craggs and his team on developing new products and new markets. Their recent move to bigger premises, not only ensures that Tame can meet our existing requirement for body structures, but also provides a huge opportunity for the combined business to develop the market for Gigloo and other products”.

Founder & Managing Director of Tame, Neil Craggs, added “the whole team at Tame have invested a lot of effort in building the business to where it is now from a standing start in 2011, and we are very proud of our achievements. But the advantages of being part of a larger established company like JDC – access to management, engineering and financial resources - underline the logic of a merger.”

Tame Plastics Limited is a Tamworth based company founded in August 2011 which provides high quality co-polymer structures and sub-assemblies to the automotive and other industries. The Company specialises in building structures from PolyBilt an innovative thermoplastic which combines the advantages of Polypropylene and Polyethylene. In April this year the business achieved certification under ISO 9001: 2008 and also completed a move to a 9000 ft2 unit on the Riverside Industrial Estate.
