Major contract for the utility sector

JDC has completed a major contract for 120 vehicles for the utility sector. Adding PolyBilt JakPak pick-up bodies to Ford Ranger 4x4s, the new fleet will be used to carry a range of tools, equipment and parts to off-road locations.

JakPak monocoque bodies are made of the resilient co-polymer, PolyBilt.  The JakPaks give a lightweight, watertight and secure enclosure which, at the end of the Ranger’s life, can be transferred to a new vehicle. They are also damage-resistant, chemical-resistant and easy to clean.  And at the end of their own life they are 100% recyclable.

As part of the continued growth in this area, a dedicated team of JDC engineers has been building on the company’s vast experience gained in its core business of fire using the latest materials and stowage and engineering solutions to develop a number of vehicle bodies for the utility and industrial markets, adopting all of JDC core values.
